Prevented Ocean Plastic: reducing pollution in our seas

Did you know, that once plastic reaches the sea, the salt and sun starts to degrade it, and the ability for it to be recycled is drastically reduced?

Waste plastic, mostly from the streets around coastal communities in Asia at risk of ocean plastic pollution, is collected and sold to the Prevented Ocean Plastic organisation, who sort, clean, shred, and pelletise the plastic for onward use in new products.

This process stops these materials from entering the sea, providing them with an onward life, and helping to reduce the impact of waste on food production, wildlife and to the visual environment.

The H2O range of stylish promotional bottles have always been made in the UK, in zero-to-landfill factories by our partners. However, these are now available in the most popular sizes and colours from Prevented Ocean Plastic.

The use of this recycled material prevents the creation of new plastic, from oil, and helps to reduce pollution both in local communities and globally in the oceans.

The plastic is sorted and cleansed in a way that means it is of high quality, fully onward recyclable, and food safe.

We can include QR codes within your print area telling the story, and the inserts providing care instructions also link to the Prevented Ocean Plastic campaign for CSR visibility.
