Vacancy: Production Co-ordinator

Vibrant Colour, a growing print and promotional merchandise provider, is looking to recruit a part-time production co-ordinator.
We deliver creative promotional solutions to a wide range of organisations, from charities and sole traders, to training companies and publishers.
We work on a consultative basis, developing creative and clever ways for businesses to engage, reward and incentivise their customers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in taking orders from acceptance to delivery, ensuring all required elements to the order are in place, and that the supply chain delivers on time. You’ll check in with the customer after delivery, ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
You’ll often act as initial point of contact for general enquiries, via phone or email, and be able to fully handle re-orders of previously supplied print and merchandise.
Over time, you may also help staff stands at customer-facing exhibitions, interacting with existing and potential customers in person.
Once or twice a year there may be visits to supplier exhibitions, and their factories, to help you better understand merchandise’s potential (and limitations).
The role will also include some ad hoc tasks, like updating product pricing and descriptions on our website, and other office administration – but you won’t be glued to the filing cabinet.
The role is diverse and varied, and you have a real chance to build relationships and make a difference to the marketing output of our customers.

Qualifications and Training
The successful candidate will be enrolled, at the company’s expense, on a BPMA ‘Trained in Promotional Merchandise’ education scheme – to ensure you’re confident and comfortable with the world of merchandise.
Time will be given during working hours to complete this, though the successful candidate must complete this online training within 6 months of employment commencing.
Future training opportunities may be available.
This role is 16 hours per week, split over four days. Workload dependent, with agreement from employee, there is potential for this to increase to 20 hours, over either four or five days.
The role is primarily office based in Peterborough PE2, but may include occasional visits to exhibitions and business events, either as visitor or exhibitor, and supplier factories in the UK.
Holiday pay will be on a pro-rata basis, including bank holidays and the Christmas break. We also offer two paid volunteering days a year.
Taking home pens from the office is also encouraged – no need to sneakily steal from the stationery cupboard!
